With so many colors in the spectrum, it is always hard on what color you think is ‘In Season’, but one thing is for sure: This year, Bright, eye catching colors are in. What Colors are they? Well, Colors that we’d use as accents in an outfit. Red, Orange, Green, Pink, Blue, and Purple. There are so many ways we can pull these colors into outfits. One of the more impressive ways these days is to Color Block. Color blocking is the art of having a piece of clothing or a whole outfit composed of blocks of color.
There are 3 ways to color block an outfit with bright colors.
Monochromatic Blocking isn’t usually meant to block with multiple colors, but rather with gradients of the same color on each piece of clothing. This is to give out a more subtle look of color blocking.
Another style is Separates, where there is a mix of garments that contrast between two to four colors. This is the most common form of color blocking, and is also the most impressive. It depends on our eye for color, and the way we pair the colors up is probably the key to rocking the look. Finally, the last technique of Color Blocking is called ‘stand-alone’, where color blocking is interlaced into one clothing item. Color Blocking is one of the greatest ways to put together colors in a stylish, and efficient way.
