I'm a Bit frazzled for the moment. I Hired a trunkload of writers last night for Inbetween Stardoll, and felt very satisfied with them, until i got a comment that fell along the lines of this:
"No Offence, I Knew that ______ Would Be picked for Makeup. Not because she had the talent, But because you were her friend... I Thought i'd be given a chance, because She's already written here before."

I understand WHY someone would say that, But to be honest, the girl I'd hired before and now wasn't a friend that I'd gotten to know well. Sadly, people these days think that one GB comment, or a sign of familiarity resorts to partiality between people. No. I'm a believer of giving people what they deserve, I never got the easy way in to blogs or anything. I earned my place in them, and I certainly won't be handing out blogging posts like free pie served at a buffet.
Partiality (v.): Unfair Bias of one thing or person Compared to another; favoritism.
Hear me out, I felt bad for anyone I Didn't Hire, but in the end it happens on who can deliver better. Even if someone may need to be more desperate, I'm not going to hire them because they're begging me. They need to possess the qualities of whatever job they want. There were people I really considered, Especially the one who'd made that comment. But in the end, I put up the person whom I thought would put in more effort, even though another person would fall a notch below.

Partiality falls in real life as well, but sometimes People mistake the decision of picking who is right for the job as Partiality. When a teacher picks a kid to be Student of the week or whatever, Kids claim it's because the Teacher "Likes them Better.". No, silly. It's because that Student probably deserves it for better reasons than Favoritism. Just consider the light of a person, and possibly WHY they picked whomever next to you. Unless you ARE the person...if so....Congrats! :3
Anyway, I hope no one takes offence, this is just what i felt about the state I was put in.
See you all soon!
